SOHOT - Skövde-Örebro-Halmstad Outdoor Tourguide Robot

The aim of the SOHOT project is to develop a prototype that demonstrates basic functionalities of an outdoor tour guide robot. This robot should be able to navigate safely in a public square environment in the presence of pedestrians while offering simple means of human-robot interaction trough a touch screen.

The major outcomes of this project are the design and set-up of the robot Alfred (see picture on the right) and demonstrations of it as an autonomous tourguide on several occasions.
